Job summary

CFS is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Clackamas, OR to manage weekly payroll for both union and non-union staff on construction projects. The role requires accurate timekeeping, diligent certification of payroll reports, and strict adherence to wage and prevailing‑wage rules.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands‑on payroll experience, with union and certified payroll exposure, and a focus on deadlines, accuracy, and compliance within a construction environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on payroll experience.
• Construction payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Union and certified payroll experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees from timekeeping through final processing
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for construction projects
• Interpret union agreements, wage rates, benefit requirements, and prevailing-wage requirements
• Review timecards, calculate wages and deductions, reconcile payroll, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support payroll reporting, audits, and year-end processes
