Job summary

Legacy Infrastructure Group in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll across multiple entities in a high-volume, multi-state environment. Partner with field operations and HR to ensure on-time pay and compliance with prevailing-wage rules.

You will handle certified payroll submissions, wage determinations, and payroll data reconciliation using Vista by Viewpoint and related construction ERP tools, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience; construction, prevailing-wage, or multi-entity environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of certified payroll, Davis-Bacon/prevailing wage, WH-347 reporting, and multi-state payroll tax.
• Experience with Vista by Viewpoint or a comparable construction ERP; strong Excel skills (SUMIFS, pivot tables, reconciliation workbooks).
• Detail-driven with exceptional accuracy under weekly deadlines; reconcile to control totals before finalizing.
• Collaborative: partner with field operations, project teams, and HR to resolve pay and time issues quickly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for multiple operating entities in the ERP (Vista by Viewpoint).
• Import, validate, and correct time data; verify hours, jobs, and phases; resolve exceptions before each pay run.
• Enter and maintain earnings, deductions, stipends, garnishments, benefit elections, and shift differentials accurately.
• Support weekly pay date cadence and off-cycle, manual, and correction checks as needed.
• Reconcile payroll registers week-over-week and verify rate, hours, deductions, and documentation.
