Job summary

Tri-State Drilling, LLC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer weekly and off-cycle payrolls for multiple entities. You will review time records, codes, pay rates and deductions, coordinating to resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with wage laws and collective agreements.

The role supports payroll tax, reporting, union and prevailing wage processes, and prepares certified payroll as needed. It is an office-based position with focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and ERP systems (Spectrum or CIMC).
• Understanding of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly scheduled payrolls and off cycle payrolls for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities.
• Review time records, job/cost codes, pay rates, deductions, reimbursements for accuracy; liaise with stakeholders for clarifications.
• Process authorized payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, child support orders, and union deductions.
• Support payroll adjustments, corrections, supplemental/final payments and other payroll transactions.
• Prepare and submit union reports, benefit remittances, and other payroll-related information.
• Ensure compliance with wage schedules and project-specific compensation requirements.
• Reconcile payroll registers, tax liabilities, and benefit payments; assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end processes.
• Maintain payroll documentation and internal controls; assist with audits and regulatory requests.
