Job summary

S&M is seeking Construction Materials Engineering Technicians in Greenville, NC. This full-time role offers hands-on field and lab testing of concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates, with mentorship and growth across Technician I to IV levels.

You’ll work with engineers and project teams to ensure quality and safety on diverse projects, including travel as required, while gaining training and upward mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred for advanced levels.
• Experience levels range from Technician I to Technician IV with 0-2 to 5+ years.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Field Testing Grade I and ICC Special Inspector are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis.
• Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to meet specifications and safety guidelines.
• Support travel and overtime as needed.
