Job summary

S&ME in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking Construction Materials Engineering Technicians at all levels to join our Construction Services group. You will perform field and lab testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates, collect samples, and help maintain safety and quality on projects from local eateries to major venues.

This hands-on role offers mentorship, training, and opportunities to advance; travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred for advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Field & lab testing of concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• Sample collection and preparation for analysis.
• Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and project managers to meet specs and safety guidelines.
