Job summary

S&ME in Greenville, NC is hiring Construction Materials Engineering Technicians at all levels to join our Construction Services team. The role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to advance while contributing to safe, quality projects for diverse clients.

You will perform field and lab tests on concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates, collect samples, interpret results, and collaborate with engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Must have clear English communication (verbal and written).
• Basic math skills and understanding of units of weight.
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license or IDP and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis and reporting.
• Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure safety and specifications are met.
