Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager for the Frederick field services team. You will manage a variety of CMT projects, coordinate with senior engineers and field staff, and drive on-time project completion.

Opportunity to mentor staff, advance professional development, and participate in client meetings. A valid driver's license and PE/PG license are required, with a competitive salary range based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• Minimum of 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license required in the state you work for.
• Strong marketing skills with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and collaboration with project teams.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collection efforts.
• Prepare proposals and change orders for projects; host or attend project meetings with clients and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor junior staff and support overall development of your team.
