Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to join our Williamsburg field services team. You will manage and execute CMT projects from proposal through completion on low‑complexity work, coordinating testing, reporting, budgeting, and client communication.

Responsibilities include reviewing field reports, managing budgets and invoices, preparing proposals and change orders, testing soils and concrete, coordinating field staff, and communicating project status

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• B.S. in Civil/Geology-related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards in testing.
• Ability to interpret field and lab results.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Developing client relationships and business development.
• Driver's license if driving for ECS.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction materials testing projects from proposal to completion for low-complexity work.
• Review daily field reports and resolve issues.
• Manage budgets, invoices, pay applications, and collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders.
• Support and perform testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Classify soils and assign appropriate lab tests.
• Coordinate field staff and provide training and oversight.
• Communicate with clients on status and deliverables.
• Attend project meetings with clients.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
• Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Perform other PM and technical duties as assigned.
