Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Materials Coordinator to support the Materials Manager with receiving, inspection, storage and transfer of all company and client procured materials to subcontractors at project sites.

Coordinate deliveries, verify receipts, and maintain storage and laydown yards while ensuring quality and accurate documentation. This role requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork to operate with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of material control/receiving experience in engineering/construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization and attention to detail.
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Team oriented with ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of materials with suppliers and the receiving project site.
• Verify receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure materials meet quality specs.
• Authorize driver's freight bills and compile receiving documents as required by procedures.
• Assist with Material Receiving Reports (MRR) and OS&D reports.
• Coordinate storage and maintenance of all materials and equipment.
• Support day-to-day activities for project site warehouse facilities.
• Support laydown yards day-to-day operations.
• Facilitate transfer of custody of materials and equipment to subcontractors at the site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
