Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician for the New Albany, Indiana lab. You will perform routine laboratory testing of construction materials, report results, and help with calibrations while maintaining equipment in good condition.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma/GED with related vocational training and at least 3 years’ lab experience. ACI Level II certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED with related vocational training.
• At least 3 years in a construction materials lab.
• ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level II required.
• Certifications like ACI Field Testing Grade I or ICC Special Inspector are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test and report soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt in the lab with supervision.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment; ensure readiness for testing.
• May assign tests to staff on small to medium projects and review results.
