Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician for the New Albany, IN lab. You will perform routine laboratory testing on soils, concrete, masonry and asphalt, report findings, and assist with calibrations under supervision.

You may review others' results and lead small testing tasks on projects. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in a construction materials lab, and ACI Level II certification, with ICC inspector credentials considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and related vocational training.
• Minimum of 3 years in a construction materials laboratory.
• ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level II required.
• Active industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Testing and reporting soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt in the lab.
• Maintain testing equipment and perform calibration and upkeep.
• Coordinate tasks and review testing results of junior staff.
