Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to join the Construction Services lab in New Albany, IN. The role involves performing soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt testing, reporting results, and assisting with calibrations under experienced staff.

You will maintain testing equipment, ensure calibration, and review junior staff results. Strong English communication and attention to detail are essential for accurate documentation and client reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with vocational training a plus.
• ACI Level II certification required for concrete lab testing.
• ICC Special Inspector certifications are a plus and valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt testing in the laboratory.
• Maintain testing equipment and perform calibration/maintenance.
• Review testing results of junior staff and coordinate with team.
