Job summary

Atlas in Texas is seeking a CMT Field Technician to assist with field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to verify conformance with project specifications and quality standards. This role includes on-the-job training and potential certification advancement supported by the company.

You will receive hands-on experience, travel to job sites, and opportunities to grow within a safety-conscious environment that values quality workmanship and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• ACI Field Grade 1 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and other technical tools for material testing.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to read and comprehend.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform construction materials testing for soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates through a combination of classroom, laboratory, and field training.
• Assist senior technicians with sampling, testing, and inspection activities on construction projects.
• Record and submit accurate testing data and field observations.
• Follow established procedures to help ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain testing equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Travel to job sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
• Develop technical skills and obtain industry certifications, such as ACI, ICC and TxDOT certifications, with company support.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
