Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide commercial skilled trade service provider specializing in plumbing and electrical projects. We are currently seeking a Lead Construction Material Handler to process incoming and outgoing commercial construction materials. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with commercial construction wholesale parts and materials in a warehouse environment and will be proficient in supporting merchandising and Pro Desk functions.
Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and distribute commercial construction materials, tools, and equipment within a warehouse environment
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outbound products
- Communicate inventory supplies with purchasing departments
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using appropriate equipment
- Perform regular inventory counts and restock materials as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment
- Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking, organizing displays, and product placement to support retail operations
- Pro Desk operations by preparing materials for technician pickup and ensuring timely communication with field teams
- Utilize product knowledge to identify and locate the correct parts and materials for internal teams and clients
- Collaborate with team members or work independently to meet operational needs
- Willingly take on additional duties to support the department as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience handling construction material preferably within a Pro Desk or merchandising environment
- Strong product knowledge of commercial construction materials, tools, and supplies
- Physical ability of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift
- This position requires English literacy for the use of cell phone communication and email
