Job summary

Flowtec Construction seeks a Construction Manager in Chicago to join a fast-growing, fully integrated real estate firm. This role is designed for a GC professional transitioning into an owner/developer capacity, with exposure to projects from early planning through turnover.

You will work with developers, architects, engineers, and consultants, gaining visibility into decisions made before, during, and after construction, contributing to diverse portfolio development across multifamily,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience, ideally with a General Contractor
• Experience managing ground-up residential, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, or commercial projects
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project controls understanding
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from design through turnover
• Coordinate third-party GCs, architects, engineers, and consultants
• Participate in site evaluations, feasibility reviews, budgeting, and early planning
• Assist with contractor bidding, procurement, and GMP negotiations
• Coordinate permitting, utility planning, and design team activities
• Monitor schedules, budgets, change orders, and owner draws
• Provide regular project updates to leadership
• Occasional day trips to project sites as needed
