Job summary

Flowtec Construction, partnered with a Michigan-based development firm, is launching its own General Contracting division. The Senior Project Manager will help establish processes, networks and a scalable team while handling estimating and execution across projects.

Initial responsibilities include bid through closeout, subcontractor relationship building, and tight budget control. Travel is required as the division scales.

Qualifications

• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and municipalities.

Flowtec is partnered with a Michigan-based real estate development firm that is launching its own General Contracting division. The company has a strong, reliable pipeline, It's moving from a development-only model to a vertically integrated GC operation.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will be one of the first key hires in the new GC division and will report directly to leadership. This role covers more than managing projects. You'll run projects from bid through closeout and help set up the processes, subcontractor networks and team that the GC arm will be built on.

Early on, you'll handle both estimating and execution. As the division grows, the role will expand into hiring and leading a team. It's a strong fit for someone who is entrepreneurial, organized and comfortable working with ownership-level accountability and minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from bidding and estimating through closeout
• Build and manage bidder lists, subcontractor networks and trade relationships, especially in the Texas market
• Develop and maintain critical path schedules across a high volume of repeatable projects
• Oversee Texas projects, including civil drawings, modular builds and site work
• Own project budgets, buyout, cost tracking and change management
• Help set up GC processes, standards and systems as the division scales
• Support hiring and eventually lead project team members
• Coordinate with the development team, owners, architects, engineers and municipalities

What This Role Requires

• Strong commercial construction background; GC experience preferred
• Experience with site/civil, retail, drive-thru, childcare or modular construction is a plus
• Ability to manage both estimating and project execution
• Proven ability to build and manage subcontractor relationships
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive to help build something from the ground up
• Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work without much coaching
• Willing to travel twice a month (2–3 days per trip)
