Job summary

Richard, Wayne & Roberts is seeking a Construction Manager for its Chicago headquarters. You will manage shopping center redevelopments, tenant improvements, capital projects, and future ground-up developments, overseeing multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The role requires 5+ years of commercial construction project management with a GC background. You will travel about 25%, work in-office in Chicago when not traveling, and report to the SVP of Construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Backgrounds in commercial, industrial, warehouse, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, or retail construction welcome (Retail is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Oversee shopping center redevelopments, tenant improvements, capital projects, and future ground up developments.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, and vendor payments.
• Coordinate with Development, Leasing, Property Management, and Tenant Coordination teams.
• Lead construction meetings and provide project reporting to executive leadership.
• Oversee the performance of contractors, consultants, and project teams.
