Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Roadway Project Manager in South Carolina, with a minimum of 10 years of design and project management experience. The role supports SCDOT and local clients, with a hybrid work model (office-based with some field work and travel).

The candidate will supervise roadway design staff and lead Design‑Build pursuits, driving project success. Primary responsibilities include client liaison, pursuit leadership, and coordination with design teams, subconsultants, and partners to meet

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in roadway design and project management.
• Experience managing projects with SCDOT or similar agencies is preferred.
• South Carolina PE registration is required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design projects as Project Manager.
• Serve as roadway design lead for future Design-Build pursuits and coordinate with teams.
• Manage scope, fee and schedule negotiations with clients and partners.
• Coordinate with design teams, subconsultants, and vendors to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Provide QA/QC process improvements and enforce safety culture on projects.
• Mentor junior staff and provide input on performance reviews.
