Job summary

CMTS LLC in the Mid-Atlantic region seeks a Construction Manager to oversee the planning, design through construction and closeout of new facilities and renovations in PA, MD, DE, and NJ.

You will manage contractors, schedules, budgets, and project documentation, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with clients, design teams, and vendors. This on-site, full-time role offers competitive pay and comprehensive company-paid benefits, with regional travel as required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in construction administration, design review, and management of architectural plans and projects.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction, renovation, and rebuilding techniques.
• Ability to manage complex facility construction projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Experience coordinating outside resources, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Understanding of construction processes, project controls, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and building codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication with ability to tailor materials to the audience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to organize and facilitate meetings and coordination discussions.
• Detail-oriented with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to develop goals and drive projects to completion.
• Willingness to travel across PA, MD, DE, and NJ as needed.
• Interview candidates and provide recommendations to leadership.
• SELLER/DOER mindset and ownership from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction of new facilities and renovations, ensuring codes, specs, and client expectations.
• Monitor permits, bonds, approvals, lien waivers, and closeout documentation.
• Provide oversight through all phases from planning to occupancy.
• Track quality, budget, schedule, safety, and compliance via site visits.
• Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
• Review engineering and architectural design documents.
• Coordinate with clients, design teams, vendors, and government agencies to maintain schedules.
• Advise leadership on project status, risks, and team effectiveness.
• Communicate recurring issues and training needs to management.
• Assist with site evaluations and cost estimates.
• Review change orders for accuracy and cost validation.
• Review contractor payments and lien waivers.
• Verify completion of corrective actions from commissioning and inspections.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of project documents.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
