Job Description

HomeRiver Group is looking for a Remote/WFH Construction Manager to join their team. The Construction Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive construction management services for properties in construction. This includes conducting physical inspections of homes and developing specific action plans for capital improvements, repairs, restorations, remodels, and other construction projects. In routine and emergency situations, the Construction Manager acts as the on-site expert to identify the scope of work, generate cost estimates, and prioritize workflows.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the entire range of construction activities, either directly or through Project Managers.
  2. Prepare bid packages, including site inspections with contractors, government agencies, and insurance representatives to develop scope of work, specifications, and documentation.
  3. Oversee contract awards by advertising bids, analyzing proposals, evaluating contractors, and coordinating project schedules.
  4. Administer contracts through inspections, change orders, payments, and coordination with contractors and subcontractors.
  5. Manage contract close-out, including final inspections, punch lists, testing, reports, warranties, lien waivers, and final payments. Ensure timely completion and documentation of all project-related records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the construction renovation segment of Single Family Residential (SFR) management.
  • 1-3 years of experience supervising or leading work teams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to identify operational opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Team-oriented with enthusiasm for collaborative work to achieve shared goals.
