Construction ManagerSpring Valley, NY 10977System One is seeking a Construction Manager in Spring Valley, NY who can lead a team of professionals overseeing the construction management of major building construction.Important Details:- Pay rate range: $60 - $80/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (possible variance)
- Weekly pay

Responsibilities- In this role as an Owner's Representative you will facilitate all on-site field construction activities performed by the General Contractor associated with the completion of a project (Typically a project having a total installed cost of $15 million or more.)
- We will need you to apply methods and techniques to be utilized for construction management
- In addition to construction management supervision, the incumbent is also responsible for field administration and processing of construction submittals.
- The Construction Manager will work on behalf of the client and the client with responsibilities including:
- Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities
- Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule
- Monitors General Contractor's manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedule
- Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are being met by the performing Contractor for each phase of the project
- Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher level management and clients, including formal presentations
- Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies
- Serves as the primary contact with representatives for construction related activities
- Maintains strong client and community relations
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in field construction is required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a construction related field (or equivalent construction related work experience)
- Experience in the construction of 50,000+ square foot commercial buildings and/or building additions.
- Requires extensive knowledge of construction related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices
- Demonstrated effective managerial capability, as well as strong written and oral communications skills. Must be experienced in managing and processing contractor submittals during construction.
