Provide overall administrative and technical direction for one large complex project. Responsibilities include customer interface, client development, project scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, safety oversight, cost and progress monitoring, management, and reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule, including interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy. Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned projects.
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate serious situations and implement corrective measures. Authorize/approve purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards. Interpret policies as required.
  • Maintain official project log and documentation files. Assist with safety program implementation and interpretation. Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good client relationships.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.

Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have:

  • A 4-year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of extensive experience and knowledge in commercial or industrial construction activities, design, finance, and management
  • Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, standards, and their impact on project activities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented mindset
  • Experience managing large-scale data center projects, projects over $100M in sectors like general construction, electrical, manufacturing, technology, or infrastructure
  • A valid US driver’s license and passport; willingness to travel (~70%)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge of construction laws, standards, and safety standards
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets
