Job summary

APAC-Atlantic, Asheville Division, a CRH Company, offers a Construction Intern role in Western North Carolina. The internship provides exposure to project management, asphalt plant operations, and construction crews within a vertically integrated company.

You will work with plant operators, yard crews, and foremen to learn bidding, scheduling, costs, and basic P&L concepts while supporting monthly projections and operational planning. Travel and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Operations Management.
• 2–4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Project management for public and private projects: learn bidding, contracting, and coordination with estimators and managers.
• Asphalt plant operations: assist with plant operations, yard crew, scales, and general maintenance.
• Construction crews: support foremen in job setup, prep, and equipment knowledge.
• Equipment and shops: assist with operations and logistics.
• Business management: collaborate with Operations Manager/accounting on monthly projections and job cost.
