Job summary

Arizona Public Service in Phoenix, AZ is offering a paid, temporary 10‑week Construction / Maintenance Planning Intern role. You will work with experienced planners to support project planning, scheduling, and coordination of materials, equipment and workforce resources, while focusing on safety and project documentation.

Eligible students must be enrolled in Construction Management or a related program, demonstrate academic commitment, and show strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic achievement and ongoing learning.
• Strong interest in construction, maintenance planning, project coordination, or utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs. May assist in preparing business/engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations and studies.
• Assists in research, business documentation, studies or technical reviews. Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.
• Utilizes internal resources to learn business/engineering operations/functions and apply learning in completion of work assignments.
• Coordinates efforts with other disciplines, and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.
