Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is offering a paid Palo Verde Summer Internship for ABET-accredited engineering students. The 10-week program runs May through July with housing provided if the internship is in person.

You will work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship from leaders, and participate in orientation and professional development activities to learn about the energy industry. Interns will gain exposure to engineering disciplines, network with senior leaders, and present their

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.2
• Actively enrolled in an ABET accredited mechanical or chemical engineering program
• Apply basic discipline engineering principles
• Use engineering approaches and calculations
• Problem analysis and resolution techniques
• Know safety standards in the engineering discipline

Responsibilities

• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs for projects
• Assist in research, planning, and evaluations; summarize results in reports or presentations
• Learn business/engineering operations and apply learning to assignments
• Coordinate efforts with other disciplines to achieve goals
• Perform other related duties as required
