Orion Placement seeks a licensed California attorney with litigation experience to manage matters from intake to resolution. You will conduct research, draft pleadings, and participate in hearings, depositions, and negotiations, building strong client relationships.

Active California Bar in good standing and 1+ year of litigation are required. The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and growth within a respected boutique firm focused on construction, real estate, and business disputes.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ year of litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities with attention to detail.
• Professional communication and client-service mindset.
• Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or comparable platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, with increasing responsibility.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery, and other documents.
• Participate in court hearings, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze contracts, evidence, and discovery to identify key issues.
• Work with senior attorneys on case strategy and preparation for events.
• Track court deadlines and milestones to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Develop practical legal strategies across construction, real estate, business, and prevailing wage disputes.
• Build strong client relationships while delivering high-quality work.
