Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction laborer to perform a variety of on-site manual tasks on projects in Texas. Responsibilities include digging, lifting materials, setting up and cleaning work areas, and assisting with concrete and pipe work.

The role emphasizes safety and ability to travel to different sites as needed. The job requires a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills, with a focus on following procedures and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months of related experience in construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to do basic arithmetic for measurements and weights

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with safety policies
• Complete required safety documentation
• Perform digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel with hand tools
• Lift and carry building materials and tools
• Clean tools, equipment and work areas
• Mix and place concrete, gravel and other materials using hand tools
• Join, wrap and seal pipe sections
• Perform routine non-machine tasks and caulking/rebar placements
• General cleanup, demolition, torch cutting, jackhammers on site
• Move between tasks as project progresses
• May travel to different jobsites on short notice
• Provide on-site assistance as needed
• Care for and maintain assigned tools
• Perform physical labor on construction sites
• Other duties as assigned
