Job summary

MasTec’s Clean Energy & Infrastructure team is seeking laborers for building, highway, and heavy construction projects. You will perform manual tasks with hand and power tools, assist craftsmen, and maintain site safety and cleanliness.

Work often involves long shifts, up to 12 hours, and travel to project sites. Strong physical stamina, willingness to learn, and adherence to safety standards are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with weights, measures and units.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel with a pick or shovel.
• Lift, carry, and place building materials and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Mix, pour and place concrete, gravel and other materials with hand tools.
• Join, wrap and seal pipe sections.
• Perform routine tasks like removing forms and caulking joints.
• General cleanup and demolition tasks; operate cutting torch, jackhammers.
• Travel to different jobsites as needed during project progress.
