Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a general laborer to assist on construction sites, supporting skilled workers and maintaining a safe and productive environment. You will help with concrete finishing, material handling, equipment setup, and routine maintenance across various projects.

The role requires basic construction exposure, ability to read rules and procedures, and willingness to travel between sites. Compensation is hourly with benefits including health coverage and 401(k) options; MasTec fosters

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6–12 months of related construction experience.
• Or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with craft workers on jobsites to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient site.
• Signal equipment operators to aid alignment and movement of machinery.
• Level earth to grade specifications using hand tools.
• Mix concrete or grout using a portable mixer.
• Finish concrete surfaces with floats, trowels, or screeds.
• Assist with attaching pumps, motors and other mechanical parts.
• Perform surface cleaning and sealing with caulking and coatings.
• Operate or handle various power tools including jackhammers and grinding tools.
• Travel to different jobsites as needed and support on-site tasks.
• Assist with tool maintenance and general site cleanup.
