Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a skilled construction helper to support craft workers on active jobsites in Texas. You’ll perform a range of manual tasks, from earth leveling and concrete finishing to equipment signaling and material handling, all while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma and related training such as LOTO, tower rescue and confined space certifications. Wanzek? Not applicable here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6–12 months in construction.
• Familiarity with safety rules, equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements and material quantities.

Responsibilities

• Assist craft workers in physical labor on jobsites, keeping a clean, safe and efficient site.
• Signal equipment operators to load, offload, and position machinery.
• Level earth to grade with hand tools; mix concrete or grout with a portable mixer.
• Finish concrete using float, trowel or screed; join and align pumps or motors.
• Apply coatings, sealants or paints; clean surfaces with spray or caulking as needed.
• Perform general shop and site tasks; travel to additional jobsites as required.
