Job summary

Aerotek is seeking Environmental Technician laborers for a hazardous waste cleanup project in Jacksonville, FL. You will assist with cleanup, site maintenance, and equipment cleaning on a 2-3 month contract, with a 50-hour work week and a starting ASAP schedule.

Qualified candidates hold a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification, may have OSHA certifications, and can lift up to 50 lbs. The role is fully onsite, with weekly pay and a benefits package described in the posting.

Job Description

Seeking reliable laborers for an environmental cleanup project in Jacksonville, FL. Candidates will assist with hazardous waste cleanup, general site cleanup, and cleaning heavy equipment such as bulldozers, rollers, and excavators.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazardous waste and environmental cleanup duties

• Sweep, clean, and maintain work areas

• Clean heavy equipment and machinery

• Move materials and assist with site labor tasks

• Follow all safety and environmental regulations

• Use hand and power tools safely

Requirements

• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification REQUIRED

• Construction, environmental, or general labor experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly

• Comfortable working outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions

• Ability to follow directions and work safely

• Must be able to commit to the full 2-3 month project

Preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

• Experience with hazardous materials or environmental remediation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
