Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Construction Inspector to support LAWA's civil construction inspection across multiple projects. You will work within the QA&C Inspection Division and collaborate with a large team of inspectors.

Required experience includes Caltrans road/bridge inspections, City/LA standards, and PMIS tooling. The role requires a strong safety focus and documentation of daily activities and findings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years inspecting Caltrans bridge, roadway, and structure projects or 10 years as a Caltrans superintendent.
• 10 years in public works field inspection or 10 years as Superintendent on Caltrans projects.
• Current City of Los Angeles Deputy Inspector License; Grading or Post Tensioning credentials.
• Cal-OSHA 30-hour training completed within the last 4 years.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Experience with sewer and storm drain installations and traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect major reinforced concrete structures, pile foundations, roadways, and bridges across multiple jurisdictions.
• Inspect sewer and storm drain installations per City/County of Los Angeles standards.
• Inspect street lighting and traffic signal installations per LA standards.
• Ensure compliance with City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles and Caltrans standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports documenting observations, deficiencies, and safety concerns.
• Review Contractor's monthly progress payments based on work completed and schedule of values.
• Collaborate with a large team of Inspectors.
