Job summary

EBA Engineering, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our Anne Arundel County pavement team. The role focuses on thorough inspections of roadways, bridges, tunnels, and facilities to verify adherence to design specs and quality standards.

You will document deviations, collaborate with senior inspectors, review plans, and maintain accurate records to ensure safety and project compliance. Field duties require physical stamina and weather adaptability.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 3-10 years of experience; a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• MD SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager; Maryland env. Responsible Personnel; OSHA 10; MARTCP certifications.
• Proficiency with eConstruction applications, such as Fulcrum.
• Proficiency in math and English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to walk rough terrain; stand up to 12 hours; bend, stoop, kneel, twist; reach overhead.
• Able to work in various weather conditions and terrains.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Document deviations, defects, or issues discovered during inspections.
• Collaborate with senior inspectors and project managers to ensure safety regulations and project requirements are met.
• Assist with review and interpretation of construction plans, special provisions, and technical documents.
• Maintain clear inspection records and reports for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Learn and apply industry-specific software and tools for inspection and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and safety briefings to foster a safe, collaborative work environment.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, project stakeholders, and team members to address concerns.
