Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a Construction/Paving Inspector in Maryland. The role involves performing engineering inspection tasks, including checking materials, documenting findings, and ensuring contractor safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in technical engineering or inspection work. The position requires ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and weekends. An Associates Degree in Engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• One or more years of experience in technical engineering or inspection.
• Current MARTCP or WACEL Asphalt Field certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect paving, concrete, and landscaping restoration.
• Document material placement and verify material sources.
• Check quality of paving material and conduct sampling.

Skills

Basic mathematics

Communication skills in English

Knowledge of asphalt paving

Education
