Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation’s Fort Worth District seeks Construction Inspector I or II based in Weatherford, TX. Two positions will cover field inspection on road, bridge and airport projects, with responsibilities to monitor work progress, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with engineers.

Starting salaries range from mid-$40k to mid-$70k annually, with full benefits and 40-hour work weeks. Work location is Weatherford with onsite duties; travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent is required.
• Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications may be considered for experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects construction methods and workmanship to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• May serve as the only inspector or assist in overseeing inspection activities on large projects.
• Documents work progress and issues; performs related duties as assigned.
