Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Construction Project Engineer/Inspector to support multiple construction management projects, document work, and monitor schedules and costs.

The role requires a BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or Engineering Technology, 2+ years of experience, travel to project sites, and strong communication. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is expected. A comprehensive background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineer and/or construction inspector.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in engineering or construction.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Proficiency with project scheduling and evaluating schedules and schedule updates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites.
• Employment contingent upon satisfactory results of a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple construction management projects
• Document work and administer contracts
• Analyze schedules and estimate construction costs
• Support civil and environmental design projects
• Ensure construction materials and methods conform to company, industry, and regulatory standards, specifications, and requirements
• Support construction oversight, inspection, and monitoring activities
• Document contractor daily activities and inspections
• Perform air monitoring, water quality monitoring, and/or environmental sample collection
• Track submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation
• Assist with change orders, cost estimates, engineering analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and schedule impacts
• Work closely with construction management teams to support project needs
• Manage document control procedures
• Track compliance with project-specific permits
• Perform field inspection and oversight
• Travel to project sites
