Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an HR Specialist to support a state-of-the-art construction project. You will champion company culture, manage HR processes, and advise staff and management.

The role emphasizes positive employee relations and a productive work environment on-site near a long-term project. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 3–5 years of HR experience, HRIS and MS Office proficiency, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, or related field with 3–5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, team member relations, benefits).
• Proficiency with HRIS, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Excellent time management and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture and promote inclusion.
• Guide compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site project supervisors, support Talent Acquisition and the HR team.
• Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, labor postings and signage, and substance abuse testing process.
• Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly and effectively.
