Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Human Resource Specialist for a long-term construction project. You will champion our culture, manage HR processes, and advise staff and management to foster positive employee relations on site.

Key duties include ensuring compliance with EEO and OFCCP requirements, supporting Talent Acquisition, and overseeing onboarding, wellness initiatives, and training programs. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field with 3–5 years HR experience.
Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits).
Proficiency with HRIS, databases, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
Excellent time management, organization skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 10%.

Responsibilities

Champion Walbridge culture and promote inclusive relationships.
Guide compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
Partner with on-site supervisors to facilitate Talent Acquisition and support HR team.
Provide oversight of new-hire programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, postings and signage.
Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly.
