Job summary

Walbridge seeks a Human Resource Specialist for a state-of-the-art construction project. You will champion our culture, manage HR processes, advise staff and management, and foster positive employee relations on site.

The role involves partnering with supervisors, supporting talent acquisition, and ensuring compliant HR practices while contributing to a productive work environment. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.
• Confidentiality and discretion with sensitive issues.

Responsibilities

• Champion Walbridge culture of inclusion and promote strong working relationships.
• Guide compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Partner with on-site project supervisors, facilitate Talent Acquisition, and support the corporate HR team.
• Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, labor postings and signage, and substance abuse testing.
• Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly and effectively.
