Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced Human Resource Specialist for a state-of-the-art construction project. You will champion our culture, manage HR processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to staff and management on-site. You will advance employee relations and foster a productive work environment.

The role requires partnering with site supervisors, overseeing onboarding and training, and ensuring compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements. Travel is estimated at 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 3-5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HRIS, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Excellent time management, organization skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 10%.

Responsibilities

• Champion: Advance Walbridge culture of inclusion initiative and promote strong working relationships.
• Guide: Ensure compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Facilitate: Partner with on-site project supervisors, support Talent Acquisition and the HR team.
• Oversight: Oversee new team member programs, health & wellness, training, postings and signage, and drug testing.
• Investigate: Lead investigations and resolve employee relations matters promptly.
