Job Description Force Personnel Services is seeking a highly experienced, safety-conscious Construction Foreman to lead an overnight construction crew on a major long-term project in Oklahoma City. We are looking for a strong, hands-on leader who possesses extensive construction knowledge, takes initiative, communicates effectively, and has the ability to recognize and resolve problems before they impact operations. This position requires more than the ability to supervise employees. The ideal candidate must be proactive, organized, confident in making decisions, and capable of managing daily job-site activities with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction-site safety, excellent people skills, and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with employees, superintendents, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Initiative Lead, supervise, and coordinate an overnight construction labor crew. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Demonstrate initiative by identifying work that needs to be completed without waiting for constant direction. Anticipate potential issues, develop solutions, and take appropriate action to prevent delays. Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and hold employees accountable for performance and safety. Lead by example while maintaining a professional, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Communication & Problem-Solving Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with site superintendents, contractors, employees, and Force Personnel management. Effectively communicate job expectations, safety procedures, and daily priorities to crew members. Identify and resolve job-site challenges, employee concerns, and workflow issues. Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced construction environment. Work cooperatively with other trades and site personnel to coordinate activities and prevent disruptions. Communicate staffing needs, safety concerns, incidents, and project updates promptly.
- Construction Safety & Site Operations Maintain a strong working knowledge of construction-site safety standards, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices. Identify potential hazards and take immediate, appropriate action to address unsafe conditions. Conduct or participate in daily safety discussions, toolbox talks, and job-site inspections. Ensure employees consistently follow required safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Recognize hazards associated with working at heights, heavy equipment, aerial lifts, moving machinery, and active construction operations. Monitor crew activities to ensure compliance with site-specific safety policies and procedures. Report safety incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions promptly and accurately. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure employees understand their responsibilities for maintaining a safe workplace.
- Administrative & Technical Responsibilities Utilize Bluebeam to review construction drawings, plans, and project documents. Use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for documentation, reporting, and communication. Maintain accurate employee time records, attendance, and daily activity reports. Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and job-site instructions. Coordinate labor assignments, equipment needs, and daily work activities. Operate or assist with equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, and sweepers when qualified and authorized.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive construction experience with a strong understanding of job-site operations, construction methods, and safety practices. Previous experience as a Construction Foreman, Crew Leader, Assistant Superintendent, or similar supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety procedures, OSHA standards, hazard recognition, and accident prevention.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to make sound decisions.
- Proven ability to lead employees, manage personalities, and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, superintendents, contractors, and other site personnel.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and project documentation.
- Familiarity with construction equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and sweepers.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English for job-site safety, documentation, and communication requirements.
- Dependable attendance and availability to work overnight shifts, including Saturdays.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Work Expectations
Overnight shifts, scheduled Monday through Saturday. Shifts may be up to 12 hours, depending on project needs. Expected workweek of approximately 50-70 hours. Must be available for extended hours and overtime as required. Long-term project expected to last approximately 2-3 years.
Compensation & Opportunity

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a leader who sees what needs to be done and takes action. The right person will not need constant direction, will recognize potential problems before they become larger issues, and will understand that safety, communication, and productivity go hand in hand.
