Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5 years of construction experience across residential, commercial and heavy highway civil work.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and be on your feet for long periods.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and comply with company policies.
  • Able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and some weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Understand plans, grades, and specifications on a civil site.
  • Operate equipment such as loader, blade, excavator, dozer, skid steer, and rollers.
  • Maintain safety and prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
  • Coordinate with team members, subs, trucking, and suppliers.
  • Use HCSS HeavyJob to track quantities and create production reports/timecards.
  • Communicate with project managers, estimators, and engineers as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;
  • Coordinate all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality
  • Ability to understand plans, grade and specifications of a civil construction site
  • Experience in operation of loader, blade, excavator, dozer skid steer and rollers
  • Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
  • Daily coordination with team members, sub-contractors, trucking and suppliers
  • Utilization of HCSS Heavy Job to track daily quantities, use of production reports and daily timecards
  • Ability to communicate with project managers/estimators and engineers as needed
Minimum Qualifications;
  • 5 years of experience in construction with emphasis on residential, commercial and heavy highway civil construction
  • Valid driver’s license but a CDL is a preferred
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Assure all safety procedures are followed
  • Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, some weekends
  • Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background check
