Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking skilled laborers in Kalispell, MT to perform outdoor physical tasks, including placing and raking concrete, asphalt and gravel materials, and supporting the foreman in daily operations. Role requires adherence to safety procedures, the ability to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work days, nights, and some weekends.

Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have good physical stamina to perform long periods of work outdoors.
• Adheres to safety procedures and uses PPE as required.
• Ability to bend, lift, push and pull, and stay on feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks for long periods in all weather conditions.
• Place, shovel and rake concrete, asphalt and gravel materials with hand tools.
• Lift and carry tools and forming materials.
• Pound concrete pins and secure forms.
• Run small engine equipment such as plate compacts and jumping jacks.

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;

• Perform physical tasks for long periods of time in all weather conditions
• Place, shovel and rake concrete, asphalt and gravel materials with hand tools
• Lift and carry tools and forming materials
• Pound concrete pins and secure forms
• Run small engine equipment such as plate whackers and jumping jacks
• Other duties assigned as needed by Foreman

Minimum Qualifications;

• Valid driver’s license but a CDL is a preferred
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Assure all safety procedures are followed
• Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, some weekends
• Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background check
