Job summary

Knife River Mountain Region in Montana is seeking a seasoned construction lead to coordinate daily crew activities, read plans, and ensure site safety. The role requires hands-on operation of heavy equipment such as loaders, blades, excavators, dozers, skid steers and rollers, plus strong communication with project managers and estimators.

CDL is preferred, and flexibility for days/nights/weekends is expected. Equal opportunity employer with pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Supervise daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and site rules.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators and engineers as needed.
• Operate and understand heavy equipment workflows on civil sites.

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in construction with emphasis on residential, commercial and heavy highway civil construction
• Valid driver's license but a CDL is preferred
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Assure all safety procedures are followed
• Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, some weekends
• Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background check
