Jobot is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and strategic insight in a mid-sized construction firm. Based in the Chicagoland area, the role leads corporate accounting, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while coordinating with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior finance, strong leadership, and expertise with Sage 300, SAP, and forecasting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Experience with Sage 300 software
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
• Ability to strategize and solve problems.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.

Mansioni

• Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
• Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning.
• Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
• Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
• Coordinate all audit activity.
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
• Assist the organization's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
