Job summary

Ghafari Associates, Lake Orion-based Construction Field Representative/Field Engineer will monitor on-site work for facility projects during construction, commissioning, and post-construction to ensure alignment with plans, specifications, and schedules.

Based on site in Lake Orion, MI, with occasional weekends; one-year duration; collaboration with AE Team; strong communication and documentation skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering field preferred or related work experience
• Professional Registration preferred
• Candidates with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are preferred
• 5 years of experience with construction and the administration of construction contracts
• LEED training preferred
• ADA training preferred
• Safety training preferred
• Excellent communication and written skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the contractor, architect and engineers
• Review, comment, and approve construction documents
• Review, comment, and approve shop submittals
• Review, comment, and approve Request For Information (RFI’s) forms
• Provide field checks and/or investigations as per request of office team
• Gather site/facility photos during and upon completion of the project.
• Attend construction meetings on behalf of AE Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
