Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Engineer / Field Engineer to support commercial construction projects in Detroit, MI. The role emphasizes field coordination, documentation, and safety, working with project managers and subcontractors across diverse facilities.

You will help manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and quality while traveling to multiple job sites as needed. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with 2+ years of relevant experience and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience on commercial construction projects.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day field operations and coordinate subcontractors.
• Track RFIs, submittals, and change orders to maintain documentation.
• Perform site walks, inspections, and quality checks to verify requirements.
• Assist in developing schedules and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and design teams to resolve issues and align project goals.
• Ensure all work complies with drawings, specs, and safety standards.
• Assist with project closeout activities and turnover documentation.
• Support document control with daily reporting and field records.
• Collaborate with field teams to address issues and solve problems on site.
