Job summary

Ghafari Associates on-site Construction Field Representative/Field Engineer monitors and documents work in progress to ensure quality and schedule compliance. It supports QA/QC efforts across construction stages, including nonconforming work resolution and closeout activities.

The role coordinates with contractors, architects, and engineers, maintains comprehensive documentation, and participates in testing, commissioning, and LEED-related submittals as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred, or equivalent related work experience.
• Professional Registration preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and the administration of construction contracts.
• LEED Accreditation required (at least one key personnel on the project team must hold LEED AP credentials).
• ADA training preferred.
• Safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Quality Control Program manually and align with Owner review within 30 days of Notice to Proceed.
• Perform field QA/QC inspections to verify compliance with contract documents, codes, and inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers; review logs, plans, schedules, and RFI forms.
• Identify defective work and coordinate with subcontractors for corrective actions; manage punch lists and retesting.
• Support commissioning efforts and provide mockup verification; assist with project closeout documentation.
