Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a Construction Field Representative/Field Engineer to inspect and document on-site progress for facility projects, ensuring work aligns with plans and schedules. The role is based on-site in Lake Orion, Michigan, with occasional weekend work to support project needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Architecture or Engineering, 5 years of construction experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering preferred or related work experience.
• 5 years of construction experience and administration of construction contracts.
• LEED or ADA or safety training is preferred.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between contractor, architect and engineers.
• Review, comment and approve construction documents and shop submittals.
• Review RFIs, provide field checks and investigations as requested.
• Gather site photos during and after project completion.
• Attend construction meetings on behalf of the AE team.

Job Description:General Summary:Construction Field Representative/Field Engineer inspects, monitors and documents the work in progress on site for facility projects during construction, commissioning, final acceptance, and post-construction phases to ensure the work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and the project schedule. This position is based on site in Lake Orion, Michigan.
