Job summary

Roundhouse in Boise, ID is seeking a Field Engineer to bridge field operations and project administration. You will support the Superintendent, manage daily on-site activities, and own technical documentation to keep projects moving. This role offers hands-on field work and growth toward a Superintendent path.

You will track RFIs, review drawings, and help coordinate safety, quality, and punch-list items while communicating clearly with the team and subcontractors on schedule and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; construction field experience or internship is a plus.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specs.
• Comfortable coordinating with subcontractors and field trades in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site construction activities and scheduling.
• Develop and communicate four-week look-aheads and daily work plans.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to keep crews productive and on schedule.
• Conduct daily site walks, lead foremen huddles, and support safety inspections.
• Maintain field logs, photos, and progress reports for project updates.
• Support preconstruction tasks and constructability reviews.
